The main difference is that with a PEO, FirstStarHR registers as the “employer of record” for payroll taxes. We then handle all aspects of your payroll, including filing the payroll taxes using our tax identification numbers. PEOs also offer additional advantages to businesses, such as being able to offer a wider range of employee benefits than you might be able to provide on your own.
